About Thread Lifts.

Thread lift treatments also known as “nonsurgical face-lift” involves using dissolvable PDO threads placed underneath the skin into targeted areas to rejuvenate your appearance. As we age, sagging and loose skin occurs due to a loss of elasticity in the skin tissues, causing the skin to hang, rather than following the contours of your facial structure. PDO threads aid in “lifting” and tightening those areas, providing you with a more refreshed look. The PDO thread material in your skin breaks down over a 3-6 month period after the treatment, resulting in new collagen forming, which will further improve the laxity and texture for 12-18 months after the treatment.

COMMON AREAS TREATED

  • Double chin • Neck. • Jawline. • Cheeks. • Brow lift • Eyebrows • Nasal bridge

RECOVERY TIME

Because the treatment is far less invasive than a surgical facelift, the downtime is very minimal and without any scarring. Normal activities can be resumed 48 hours after your treatment, you may experience some swelling and bruising for the first 24 to 48 hours.

RESULTS

Initial results are noticeable instantly, right after the treatment. The results of the thread lift will be visible for 12-18 months. This is due to the effect of the increase in collagen production that the threads stimulate.

SIDE EFFECTS

Thread lift treatment is very safe when performed by the right practitioner. The most common side effects include bruising, swelling, bleeding, slight pain at the site of the thread injection, and tenderness in the treated area for up to 2 weeks.

MAINTENANCE

At Diosa, we recommend scheduling a few follow-up appointments to monitor the recovery and results. Many patients opt to have regularly scheduled PDO thread lifts once a year. Your results may last longer depending on the condition of your skin, your age, and how well your body responds to the threads.
